COVID-19 pushed consumers to rethink their interaction with people and their environment. Heartwork recognized early on that it may not be business as usual. The company partnered with Miia to develop a rapid response strategy to address consumers’ concerns and future design needs.

Heartwork is re-envisioning smart storage solutions for the myriad contexts in which work happens today. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, they were left to assess the virus transmission risks in real-time to protect their teams and customers. When many brands decided to increase their use of antimicrobial technologies as a rapid response to this threat, Heartwork went a different route to ensure their decisions continue to promote their commitment to healthy materials and living. With the help of Miia, they developed a rapid response strategy on cleaning recommendations and future design directions based on science, which was launched in their Back to Work Campaign.
